We have  been working on a major upgrade to address some of the performance issues and finally the changes are live. Some of the new features are:

1. Support for local CSS/JS  (for WP). With this option SezWho CSS and JS files are now served from you local server…So no more waiting for JS to load.

2. JS is now a lot more compact (effects both BG and WP performance)

Old Size New Size
Uncompressed 90K 35K
Compressed 19K 14.3K

This means your load times will improve at least 25% and potentially a lot more.

3. Support for Blogger templates for both classic and new templates. This will improve the performance for Blogger by preloading the SezWho UI. See the details at http://blog.sezwho.com/blog/2008/08/01/template-changes-for-blogger/.

There are a number of additional exciting new configuration options. See the article below for many more new features.

As usual we treat support issues as our highest priority so if you have feedback for us or run into issues, please post to our support forums or send us an email at support@sezwho.com and we will be happy to help.

Performance upgrade giveaway : Tell us the load times your are getting with the new changes by leaving a comments below and we will randomly  choose 3 participants and send them our cool new Polo t-shirt with our Logo.

Fantastic Update! I’m finding a definite increase in load times and I love the default thumb rating. Since update I’m hitting 8 seconds for load with no noticeable hangups on sezwho as in the past. (I know I need to optimize a few other things but this sure helps, good job)

I did it and follow all steps in “http://sezwho.com/install_bg_temp.php”, and I uploaded the photo to my file. However, I cannot see the photo in my icon showed in my blogger, and I cannot use “follow me” of Sezwho to read the rss inside. Why? I check double times, and I used google followers earlier than sezwho. Does it matter? Why my google followers always show the link,”http://sezwho.com/install_bg_temp.php” in my followers box?? I cannot remove it.
    Please Help me.
    Thank you.

Let me try and address all your issues one by one:

    1. The pic: This will be updated in a few more hours. We run the pic updater every day and it should be set up in a few more hours.

    2. Follow me link is working for me…this is the link http://feeds.sezwho.com/activitystream/rss/borghrose/1023693 and I am seeing your activity. What are you using to read the RSS?

    3. http://sezwho.com/install_bg_temp.php link shows up in the my followers box…this is related to your template. I think you have left this link by mistake in the course of editing your template. If you like, send me the whole template to support@sezwho.com and I can point out the exact place where the error is.

    Thanks, Jitendra

Thank you. My sezwho logo can show in my blogger right now. However, my posts is in tradtional Chinese (zh-TW), and it can’t show in “follow me” page but only in bugs. The buzz of follow me is not work right, and it maybe can show the text of English?
    Thanks for your email. http://feeds.sezwho.com/activitystream/rss/borghrose/1023693
You can check it out. It’s all in a mess. (My language of internet is set as “UTF-8″)

I had taken it off my blog, but with the improvements, I may just put it back on now.

Hi. I read a few of your other posts and wanted to know if you would be interested in exchanging blogroll links?

    Too much grief!

I still cannot figure out how to direct people to my posts, which appear in numerous sites, including Town Hall, Blogger, others. The Feed Burner URL does not update and only directs to Blogger entries. At Blogger, I am invisible and there doesn’t seem to be a way to get my stuff out in the open.

Actually, I find that my work is accessed more easily simply by entering my gmail address on Web Search. So, for all practical purposes, I have stopped creating blogs. Why bother? No one reads them. I could understand that if my work was garbage…hey, maybe it is.

Things are worse than you might think. I can’t even log in to Sez Who. I have an e-mail address with Windows Live at liderpsalms@live.com but the sign in tells me that my address is invalid, even though they issued it to me, approved my password and I verified the address. They won’t help me - I have contacted them 4 times with no response.

    Disgusted

I believe that Sez Who provides the best opportunity to create a functional site. I still haven’t figured out how to use it, however. It appears to be extremely complex. Hopefully, I will find my way around and eventually have a site like the one I have at
    http://ml-Smith.blogspot.com

There are at least 6 enties there - many of them are complete articles and one is a ahort story.

I hope I can do the same thing here. Right now, it doesn’t matter since i have no idea how to find my own site, let alone tell friends how to get there.

THANKS FOR NOTHING. I STILL CAN’T LOG IN WITH THE INFORMATION YOU SENT ME.

liderpsalms@live.com is not recognized by Live or by you.

SEZ WHO must be fun to work with. I can just imagine.

CAN ANYONE IMAGINE THAT THE COMPANY CANNOT MANAGE TO FIX MY PROBLEM? I BELIEVE THEY ARE EITHER COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT OR THEY ARE TOTAL FOOLS. TAKE YOUR PICK.

    Hey,

Sorry for the problems you are having and the time its taking to fix it for you.

I tried your credentials and was able to login. I am not sure why you are having the issues you are having.

Where are you based? Can we do a web conference session so that you can show me exactly what is not working? Let me know what time works and I’ll set everything up.
